Some Vintage Ads

In the process of researching print ads from the 1940s, I have come across some incredibly strange and hilarious representations of print advertising from this decade.
I thought I'd share them here... feel free to comment!

There are a thousand ways to change a diaper... well, a thousand and one actually.

Mmm... biscuit anyone?

Cigar, anyone?

Why, yes! I'd love a cigar, thank you dear!

They didn't run this ad campaign for long. I wonder why?

Well, they ran it for a bit.

At least she knows what makes her happy. Lipstick.

"All I want for Christmas..."

That's right, dear... and one day you'll even have shoes like mommy!

Mouthwash... I mean Scalpwash?

That's right. Man and boy in underwear on gigantic flying football.

got milk?

Nervine... don't let those pesky kids bother you anymore either!

The choice of cigarette for the greatest athletes.

Great gift for anniversaries!

Perhaps this campaign should come back for a hybrid car ad... they could substitute Hitler with Bin Laden?

You go, girl!

Yes, indeed. Note the illustration.

That's some fresh sausage.

"So that's how it is in your family..."

Whatever happened to lunch meats in cans? Oh, right... they still make them. Mmm.
